Job Description (OCT CPI process module engineer (FEOL, MOL, CELL, BEOL)

As an Operations Central Team Central Process Integration (CPI) Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you are responsible to drive product yield and product quality improvement engaging for either FEOL, MOL, CELL, or BEOL module for new technology with collaboration of R&D and fabs.

 

In this position, you will participate in new technology node transfer activities, projects, and problem solving as an engineer to lead.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks

 

Support Technology transfer of PI module   

  • Work with R&D and fab PI engineer for specific PI module (FEOL, MOL, CELL, BEOL module) to identify POR.  Lead risk mitigation activities related to transfer with fab PI module engineers.  Ensure past best known method (BKM) is transferred to new node. 

 

  • Join key transfer events such as Rev1, Rev2 meeting etc to make transfer activities successful.  Join POR-POR gap risk mitigation actions and sign off.  

 

Drive yield improvement through module activities 

  • Manage PI module SWR, conversions in the network to maximize synergy and leverage to accelerate yield learning.  Ensure module metrics and roadmaps are created and accurate to meet business plan.

 

  • Tie off CPI PTO (product owner) engineer to create overall yield forecast and POR-POR closure.  

 

 Identify and share BKMs across departments and Fabs.

  • Study and work on best known method (BKM) for problem solving, yield analysis, DOE (design of experiment) to improve yield learning and efficiency.  Share it in the network and maintain communication in the network for your module for leverage and synergy.

 Education Required

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience engineering such as Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Electrical Engineering etc.  Understand basics of semiconductor physics.
  • Work experience required more than or equivalent to 3 year experiences in any of the following area at fab or R&D:  DRAM, NAND, Logic/Analog Foundary,

 

Qualifications for successful candidates.

  • Possess basic technical depth of process integration knowledge that is recognized across PI modules (FEOL, MOL, CELL, BEOL) at least one module.  Experience on multiple module experience is preferable but not limited.

 

  • Possess strong engineering data analysis skill set. Must be experience in data analysis to make a conclusion for complexed problems.

 

  • Basic statistics knowledge (mean, sigma, stdev(%), etc) is required. Understanding regression, anova, multi variance analysis are preferred, but not a must item.

 

  • Posses strong communication skill in English, both verbally and in written form.

 

  • Have worked before in the previous role as a PI engineer, process engineer, probe engineer, product engineer, or yield analysis engineer.

 

  • Able to do overseas travelling when needed.
