Job Description

As a Yield Analysis engineer, your main responsibility will be identifying and communicating processing and design issues that reduce wafer yield. In this position, you will perform probe and process parameter analysis as well as visual characterization of failing devices. Writes clear and concise reports, and offers presentations and clear yield reports with explanation of yield deviations and issues.

 

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of yield data analysis, Fab processes and their common effects/signatures on yield/device.
  • Use knowledge of semiconductor device physics, electronics and semiconductor manufacturing process to explain and resolve yield issues using various statistical/data analysis tools.
  • Communicates the process/tool related yield toggles to the Fab process areas and support them in troubleshooting the process/tool.
  • Should have excellent interaction with other internal groups and work to understand their constraints.
  • Create/participate in multi-area focus teams to troubleshoot complex yield problems.
  • Publishes a clear Pareto of yield issues on their specific design part type if assigned to YE part type owner.
  • Support transfer of next generation technology from TD to production Fab as and when necessary.

 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates a good understanding of semiconductor(DRAM) structure and function
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present data in large meetings
  • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision, multi-task, prioritize and manage projects, and facilitate problem solving processes
  • Strong understanding of electrical testing and characterization and device physics
  • Intermediate computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint and data analysis tools

 

Experience

Required 1 year experience in any of engineering experience
