As a Senior Product Engineer in the Non-Volatile Engineering (NVE) group at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for product test development and testing strategies for Micron’s leading edge 3D NAND memory.  You will run simulations, create and maintain test specifications, validate test results, and analyze test data to bring new NAND products to market.  The tests you develop will ensure outgoing quality and reliability of Micron’s NAND products and provide critical product characterization data to engineering teams throughout the company.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for NAND product test development and testing strategies
  • Run Verilog design simulations
  • Define and improve testing methods to address new product issues on devices manufactured at Micron’s R&D facility
  • Perform device characterization and electrical failure analysis (EFA)
  • Work with Design Engineering to create new test modes (DFT) to improve overall testing effectiveness and efficiency

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product engineering experience or product test experience
  • Advanced knowledge of semiconductor testing, automated test equipment (ATE), and design for test (DFT)
  • Excellent data analysis, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Strong programming/scripting skills (C/C++, Python, Perl, Verilog)
  • Knowledge of Flash memory architecture and operation
  • Knowledge of statistics and data analysis tools
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Demonstrated ability to partner successfully with other groups to build strong peer relationships and meet customers’ needs

 

Education

  • This position requires a BSEE, BSCE (MSEE, MSCE preferred)
  • Course work in VLSI, semiconductor process and semiconductor device physics
