As a Distribution Sales Operations Intern you will part of a Global team supporting the Distribution Sales channel. You will serve as an operational resource to internal stakeholders and business partners to help update and document business processes, policies and procedures, develop metrics to measure and analyze success of business processes, and streamline and publish reports to business partners. You may have the opportunity to manage a program or process, and collaborate and partner with members of Sales, Sales Operations (Customer Sales Operations, Sales Reporting), Finance, IT and external distribution partners.

 

Systems: Microsoft Office (Excel), Model N channel management tool, SAP


Responsibilities and Tasks

  1. Business Process documentation:
    1. Update process/procedure documentation to reflect current business process
    2. Combine existing procedures into a standardized process
    3. Update world-wide distribution policies and procedures
  2. Metrics:
    1. Understand the business process and help define and develop appropriate metrics
    2. Develop metrics and reports to measure success of business process
    3. Publish metrics to internal stakeholders and business partners
  3. Reports:
    1. Apply strong knowledge of Excel (macros, formulas, pivots) to improve and automate compilation of existing reports
    2. Understand the business process and help develop new reports to summarize information for data analysis and further process improvement
    3. Publish reports to internal stakeholders and business partners
  4. Manage Distribution Sales Program or Process
    1. Act as lead or play a support role in managing a program or process
    2. Collaborate with internal and/or external stakeholders execute the process

 

 

Qualifications:

Successful candidates for this position will have:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to create complex formulas and write macros
  • Strong computer and systems skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong customer service orientation and skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make independent decisions within work parameters
  • Continuous improvement attitude; ability to seek out and implement internal or external best practice

 

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a college degree
  • Must be continuing education in Winter of 2018 (Expected graduation date must not be before Jan 1st 2019)
