Micron Consumer Products Group is a division of Micron, one of the world’s largest memory and flash storage manufacturers. Based out of Boise, Idaho with additional international locations, including a European base in East Kilbride, the group primarily operates under the Crucial and Ballistix brands selling to large channel partners and direct via its website where it has a strong presence in North America, Europe and Asia.


We are recruiting for an exciting position within our marketing, e-commerce, technology and support team tasked with supporting the group’s insight function. Reporting directly to the World-Wide Marketing Insight Manager, you will set a solid platform for decision making across the group, gathering intelligence for business performance, digital marketing, customer insight and market/competitor analysis.

 

As a primary source of truth for the group’s data, research and analytics needs, the information you provide will be critical to successful decision making worldwide. An analytical thinker with a thirst for finding meaning from data and a passion for representing the voice of customer, you will also need a developed sense of business acumen to help guide your analysis process. 

 

Numerate, detail oriented and organized, you will have a strong working knowledge of MS Excel and a business, marketing or data analysis related degree. Previous exposure to a marketing environment and experience of working with business reporting tools, data visualization software and web analytics is also preferred. 

 

Responsibilities and Tasks:

 

  • Management Information Support
    • Maintain a pulse on business performance including sales volumes, web trends and customer satisfaction levels
    • Distribution of daily/weekly/monthly KPI reporting and insights

 

  • Digital Marketing Support
    • Liaise with regional marketing teams and external agencies to facilitate the effective measurement of campaigns for both direct and channel business
    • Monitor digital performance using multiple tools, keeping regional teams appraised on key trends

 

  • Customer Insight & Research
    • Track, analyze and report on key findings from customer satisfaction surveys
    • Utilize qualitative and quantitative research techniques to develop understanding of customer value hierarchy
    • Identify core digital customer journeys, establishing the key pain points and opportunities with their experiences
    • Work with web team to develop usability and A/B testing
    • Provide strong representation of the voice of customer

 

  • Competitive & Market Data Co-Ordination
    • Liaise with market research team and third party market intelligence agencies to maintain current and projected views on the market
    • Work with third party competitive price tracking provider to maintain reliable and accurate competitive price positioning data for core product categories

 

Skills & Experience:

 

  • Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organization, communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, flexible and able to work autonomously
  • Strong project management skills
  • Comfortable working within a global/distributed team
  • General understanding of business performance and web analytics software
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Tableau
  • Minimum 3 years in a similar role, preferably with exposure to a marketing environment
  • Relevant business, marketing or data analysis related degree
  • Open to occasional travel
