Company: Micron

Req Id: 114462

Are you looking for a unique summer internship opportunity?  Does an internship that combines both real-world industrial experience and a variety of recreational activities interest you?  Enjoy the challenging, fast-paced environment at Micron Technology through an internship focused on driving procurement performance enhancements.  Micron’s procurement teams span the globe and as an intern you will interface with, and learn the cultures of, those global operations.

At Micron, a global semiconductor company, you will learn procurment processes and systems across the following functions:  Business Planning, Sales and Operations Planning, Global Supply Management, and Demand Management. You will have the opportunity to make a difference in Micron’s Procurment performance when you lead a project and provide recommendations in how to increase efficiency and effectiveness.  This experience will provide opportunities to collaborate cross-functionally to not only influence within the Procurment team, but also across Micron’s Value Chain.

Micron’s headquarters is located in Boise, Idaho.  Boise is a city that is a well-kept secret from much of the U.S.  Nestled in a valley, Boise’s climate is mild so its residents have the ability to “play” in the elements throughout the year.  The Boise River provides areas for walking, biking, running and golfing.   Nearby areas can be filled with mountain bikers and hikers, while water-skiing is also an option.  Within two hours, you may want to explore the world-class rapids that bring worldwide visitors to our region to fish, kayak, camp, or raft.

Whatever your preference, an internship at Micron will provide an experience of a lifetime, both professionally and personally.
