Job Description

As a Senior Manager over Revenue Accounting you will be responsible for leading the revenue function supporting determination, analysis and reporting of the Company’s consolidated and entity level revenue.  As Senior Manager you will lead a team of finance and accounting professionals in a fast-paced and challenging environment.  You will work closely with Revenue Accounting teams in other locations to ensure standard application of policies and procedures as well as compliance with US GAAP and company policies.  You will represent your team in tactical, resource and strategic planning and will be responsible for building and maintaining good relationship with business partners. You will work directly with sales and business unit management and staff to maintain an understanding of business development to ensure access to pertinent information and analysis.  You will also determine best methods for delivering project and work objectives. Additionally, you will establish operational objectives and assignments and delegate work as appropriate. You will be involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies. You will manage the performance for your direct reports, providing guidance, advice, leadership and most of all drive excellence within the team.


Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Maintain effective line of communication with business unit, sales and finance partners
  • Lead revenue processes including management of monthly close process
  • Lead technical aspects of revenue accounting including but not limited to warranties, returns, licenses, customer programs and deferrals
  • Ensure proper review controls and reporting visibility are in place to facilitate the right level of accountability for financial measures
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors
  • Manage direct reports to ensure communication of responsibilities is clear and concise;  promote cooperative and productive relationships within team
  • Manage continuous performance management analysis for all reports
  • Monitor department needs with the goal of providing appropriate staffing levels and skills
  • Ensure all team members have the proper level of development and direction to fully understand policy and their responsibilities



  • Significant exposure to business management
  • Strong business acumen
  • Experience in concluding and documenting accounting positions in technical memos
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across functional boundaries.
