Job Description

As a Senior Financial Analyst – Information Technology at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and support for all aspects of the Information Technology team. This will include financial forecasting, analysis of performance to plan, providing data and information, and making recommendations to IT management. You will also be responsible for analyzing data for plans and trends, as well as discrepancies and variances. You will be responsible for performing customer specific requests for ad hoc reporting.  Your role will require you to be an excellent business partner, collaborating with the various functions in IT                                                            


Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Responsible for preparing the Worldwide IT expense and capital budget
  • Monitor spend and variance to budget
  • Present budget data to IT VP and Senior Management
  • Provide ad hoc support of IT initiatives
  • Provide ROI analysis on proposed IT projects
  • Maintain area cost center usage and structure
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Build and maintain effective relationships



  • Minimum 5 years financial analysis experience
  • Highly proficient with Excel, PowerPoint and Cognos PowerPlay (Tableau or Aptia a plus)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven financial modeling skills
  • Capable of working under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with distributed resources and contacts
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal supervision
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and strong focus on accuracy
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills



  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field
