As a Sr Financial Accountant at Micron, your primary responsibility will be a lead role on the accounting team implementing ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers.  You will play a key role in ensuring timely and complete research and documentation related to the implementation project.  You will work closely within the Corporate Accounting and External Reporting teams as well as Business Units and Sales organizations, among others.  Upon implementation of ASC 606, responsibilities will shift to other accounting implementation projects. 


Responsibilities and Tasks (includes but are not limited to):

  • Lead implementations of new accounting standards
  • Collaborate with other company departments to gain understanding of potential accounting impacts
  • Draft technical memos and other documentation to document Micron’s accounting conclusions regarding accounting issues
  • Provide data, as requested, to internal "customers,” management, and auditors
  • Review legal agreements for accounting considerations
  • Identify potential accounting issues, research applicable accounting literature, and propose solutions to accounting management
  • Participate in the maintenance, improvement, and documentation of internal controls and internal policies




  • Experience in researching and documenting accounting positions in technical memos
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Be highly motivated and self-managed
  • Have a sense of urgency and the ability to deal with change and shifting demands within the business environment
  • Have strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • SAP experience a plus


Education and Certifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant
