Sr. Enterprise Content & Collaboration Engineer

Role and Responsibilities

ROLE:

As a senior Enterprise Content and Collaboration (ECC) Engineer at Micron Technology, you will lead designing and managing the Office 365 environment for Micron Technology on a global level.  This environment is a 40,000+ size global user base. You will be responsible for evaluating, designing, configuring, and implementing hardware and software components for cloud and on premise storage, collaboration and DLP tools related to our collaboration ecosystem/infrastructure.  This will include, but is not limited to, the following technologies – Office 365 suite, SharePoint 2016 Hybrid, OneDrive for Business, Azure IP, CASB, and other related technologies.

You will work with global team members to help maintain technical roadmaps and assist in project forecasting.  Additionally, you will lead research and development efforts pertaining to development of new features and capabilities within the global ECC ecosystem.  You will also meet with Micron’s Business Units to ensure solutions meet or exceed business requirements. 
 

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Strong Office 365 architecture, configuration, and administration skills with strong analytical skills especially in the deployment of Office 365 and SharePoint 2016 environments 
  • Designing and configuring OneDrive for Business cloud storage to include Azure IP and other DLP technologies
  • Experience with Office 365 management Console and other administration third-party tools.  Demonstrating strong trouble-shooting skills across a broad and diverse population and environment
  • Deep knowledge and experience using IT Infrastructure monitoring tools, i.e. Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), PowerShell, and/or other scripting tools, development, test and configuration management 
  • Ability to proactively look for process improvement opportunities, challenge conventional practices, and adopt new methods and best practices
  • Work with Solution and EA Architects to evaluate new tools and introduce them into our enterprise
  • Monitor, develop and maintain Office 365 technical roadmaps
  • Maintain and update Office 365 governance and disaster recovery documentation

 

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology or related discipline (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math) and 10 years related work experience with operating system hardware and/or software and components
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of experience with IT infrastructure in a large IT environment with many categories of devices, infrastructures, and operating systems; experience could include mainframe and/or distributed environments
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office 365 tenant administration skills with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure IP and other DLP tools
  • Experience with deploying the Microsoft Office 365 suite
  • Experience with SharePoint Hybrid environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server including Active Directory
  • General knowledge of networking – IP, DNS, Load Balancing as well as the concepts of Availability, Scalability, and Maintainability. This person should also understand firewalls, encryption and security zones
