Job Description

As a SpecTek Product Analyst at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for generating a SpecTek forecast for supply and monitoring processes and applications for continuous improvement. In this role, you will need to review and analyze production forecasts, demand plans and scenarios, as established by the business needs. You will manage various projects by collecting data, identifying action items and metrics, and setting timelines. You will review project results and implement process improvements if applicable. You will serve as a central communication hub among global groups, and that communicates all pertinent information/updates that impacts manufacturing. You will facilitate information globally to the respective Micron sites and subcons, as well as provide various reports to specified groups. You will also be responsible for measuring the actual results against projected results to evaluate the effectiveness of the planning strategies. 


Responsibilities and Tasks  

  • Manage All Aspects of Forecasting Activities that Provides the Production Scheduling for Global SpecTek Projections 
    • Gather and analyze all required data to support the Global SpecTek business requirements.
    • Work collaboratively with all Micron Departments and internal SpecTek teams to ensure commitments are delivered in a timely manner.
    • Understand and monitor global manufacturing business rules.
    • Communicate and Coordinate Tactical and Strategic SpecTek Planning Requirements.
  • Project Management and Communication 
    • Track and monitor work in progress (WIP) movements and production output to ensure targets are met.
    • Manage the specific qualification/sampling process.
    • Liaison between SpecTek Business Operations, Sales, Global Planning, Global Production to prioritize SpecTek projections so customer requirements are delivered.
    • Work with Global Planning and Capacity teams to manage inventory site balancing through inter-site shipping strategies.
    • Act as a subject matter expert for planning business processes.
  • Coordinate, Create, and Maintain the Necessary Tools to Optimize SpecTek Planning Processes 
  • Identify, Problem Solve, Troubleshoot, and/or Collaborate with the Team to Obtain Problem/Issue Resolutions 



  • Required: High School Diploma
  • Desired: Associate degree or equivalent experience



  • 2+ years experience in any of the following: 
    • Production/Manufacturing
    • Planning
    • Data Analysis
    • Process Management    


  • Have demonstrated strong skills in using Microsoft programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Have demonstrated knowledge of using Micron applications such as MAM, SAP, CSM, etc.
  • Have ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Be flexible and able to work with a diverse group.
