As a Software Engineer at Micron’s Mask Technology Center you will be responsible for programming and supporting manufacturing applications and databases with the goal of improving efficiency in mask shop operations. The ideal candidate has excellent programming capability combined with a fundamental understanding of semiconductor processes and business.

 

Qualifications

 

Successful candidates for this position will:

  • Program and develop applications using C#, SQL, Java, Python
  • Work with various volumes of data from multiple disparate sources and perform data analysis and mining to generate solutions to business problems
  • Translate business problems into one or more software projects/solutions          
  • Collaborate with data architects to ensure that required data is available             
  • Identify new data sources in the network that will create new insights to business needs
  • Access and report on data for analysis
  • Work on and understand client/server, web, and mobile development projects
  • Have strong knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle
  • Possess a high level of self-motivation and strong work ethic
  • Have the ability to manage several concurrent projects or tasks
  • Have a willingness to learn new tools and technologies to support Micron’s changing environment

    The following experience/skills are required:

  • Experience with the following: 
    • C#
    • Microsoft .NET Framework and MVC architecture
    • Perl, Python, or Java
    • PHP, ASP.NET (HTML, JavaScript & CSS), Web Api
  • Strong problem solving skills in identifying issues and providing recommendations and solutions
  • High level Windows experience; Linux experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with Relationship database systems, particularly Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle
  • Familiarity and knowledge of relational databases (MS SQLServer, Oracle) and SQL commands
  • Semiconductor manufacturing experience
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a group environment.

Qualifications

BS degree is required. B.S. in Computer Science
