Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst: Corporate Reporting & Presentation

Description:

As a Senior Financial Planning Analyst, Corporate Reporting Presentation you will use and coordinate multiple sources of data to generate forecasts of Micron’s financial performance for Senior Management and the Board of Directors.  This role has an emphasis in the design and preparation of executive level presentations.  Key elements include the ability to meet precise deadlines while maintaining high quality of work, attention to detail and good design aesthetics with a specialty in use of MS PowerPoint.  You will analyze data and inputs received for reasonableness and explain trends, discrepancies and variances between forecasted and actual results.

 

 

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Preparation of executive level presentation material
    - Deliver outstanding designs while highlighting key details with graphics, photography, type, and animation
    - Visualize key concepts from complex data and/or text
    - Convey data clearly and accurately using icons, charts, graphs, and tables
    - Reformat existing content within specified brand guidelines and maintain consistent look throughout the presentation
    - Troubleshoot formatting and animation issues, and keep file sizes manageable
    - Create custom master templates that can be implemented easily
  • Collect and organize required financial and operational metrics used in decision-making
     - Navigate information system applications (SAP, COGNOS, LPI, etc) to collect actual and forecast data
     - Combine and coordinate multiple sources of data from stakeholders
     - Load and validate data into financial systems
  • Analyze financial data
     - Build reports to summarize plan and trend variances
     - Develop explanations for plan and trend variances for GSC management, Finance chain of command and other stakeholders
     - Validate data for contractual compliance and legitimacy, follow-up on discrepancies
     - Perform ad hoc analysis based on customer requests
  • Design, develop, and maintain financial planning and forecast models
     - Identify needs, scope, and system resources
     - Design and develop system solutions to address changes in supported organization
     - Validate solutions through stakeholder feedback
     - Provide training to stakeholders as needed
     - Implement and communicate model functionality and output
     - Perform continuous process improvement

 

Experience Required

  • Advance expertise in design and preparation of both electronic and hard copy presentations
  • Proficiency in building or designing dashboards, electronic data repositories
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Excel, Access and related capabilities in use of macros, pivot tables, and other functionality associated with formulas used to analyze or transform data
  • Proficiency in quantitative and analytical skills for financial modeling and analysis
  • Prior history in customer service with an emphasis on explaining financial concepts to people without financial backgrounds.

 

Additional Preferences

  • > 3 years’ experience in financial management processes including forecasting, budgeting and/or other comparable financial activities
  • Experience with Public Companies

  • Integrity and Objectivity: Demonstrates ability to appropriately deal with confidential information.  Maintains an attitude of transparency and neutrality in dealing with financial data.

 

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with preference towards Business and/or Finance
