Reticle Repair/Printability Engineer Job Description




As the Reticle Repair/Printability Engineer, you will be responsible for sustaining and development engineering activities for all defect repair and printability processes. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Designing and executing experiments to identify and improve problems with existing repair and printability processes
  • Developing new repair processes for cutting edge materials such as EUV and novel optical phase shifting films
  • Identifying and characterizing process parameters that can be used to monitor the tools
  • Monitoring tools and processes to ensure stability and consistency of results
  • Following up on process issues and failed repairs, identifying root causes for these failures and implementing corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence
  • Training and mentoring of on-shift repair and sustaining team members, 1-on-1 or in a classroom setting
  • Creating and updating procedures and guidelines related to repair and printability tools and processes



Successful candidates for this position will have:

  • Previous reticle defect repair and printability experience is preferred
  • Understanding of reticle manufacturing processes
  • Good working knowledge of E-Beam and AFM technology
  • Understanding of optics and/or printability technology is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A high level of self-motivation and self-direction
  • The ability to learn independently without formal instruction, a willingness to ask questions
  • The ability to work independently with limited direction as well as in a highly collaborative team setting
  • Good interpersonal skills, patience and willingness to teach others
  • Willing to work with a flexible schedule


Education Requirements:

Minimum BS in engineering or science discipline is required.
