R&D Wet Etch/Plasma Etch Process Development Engineer

As an R&D Wet Etch/Plasma Etch Development Engineer, you will be responsible for development of new wet etch and plasma etch processes to enable current and next generation integrated circuit devices for DRAM and Emerging Memory technologies.

 In this position, you will contribute to wet etch and plasma etch technology roadmap development; work with Micron engineers and vendors to develop processes that meet device requirements for future technology nodes; and transfer processes to pilot production and high volume manufacturing facilities. This includes evaluation of new plasma etch hardware platforms and process chemistries, performing fundamental research, chemistry development, and generation of intellectual property relevant to the company.    Additionally, you will also improve existing processes and enhance process capability, productivity and efficiency.

 

Qualified candidates

  • Will have prior wet etch/plasma etch and/or chemistry experience in academia or within the semiconductor industry or related field
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Experience generating presentations and reports
  • The ability to work with others, both one-on-one and in a team environment, and to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage time
  • Qualified candidates should also have a good background in plasma engineering, organic and inorganic chemistry, and knowledge of integrated circuit processing and semiconductor devices

 

Education:

M.S. or PhD degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields.
