Quality Data Visualization Program Intern

As an intern in Quality to support data visualization, analysis and reporting you will be tasked with several projects to help drive better use of data with the quality organization.   This will include building new web based reports using some of Micron’s data visualization tools such as Tableau, SharePoint, Microsoft SQL Report builder.   You will need to be able come up with solutions that will be able to aggregate data and information from multiple locations into single sources.   Being able to understand the data and how to represent it in a way that can be easily viewed and provide drill down information for additional detail will be key. In this role you will utilize and develop tools, generate scripts, or write code to improve labor productivity of data gathering and Metrics across the global quality organization, communicate results and deploy to cross functional groups.   You will need to work with sponsors from multiple departments to understand the requirements for the end-product and be able to extrapolate proposed solutions from those requirements.


Key skills that will enable success in this role will be:


  • Knowledge of Tableau, SharePoint, SQL and other data visualization or report building solutions.
  • The ability to organize data and structure it in a way to be easily accessible
  • The ability to work with little structure to propose structured and robust solution to data needs.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to understand detailed requirements
  • Programing or data science back ground
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, delivery-driven environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Good multitasking and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of the Windows Operating System.
  • experience with DBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc. SQL Server is preferred.



  • Pursuing B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Compute Science Engineering, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Productions & Operations Management, Supply Chain Management.
  • Solid understanding and experience with SQL programming language, Visual basic, or Tableau report building tools.   Experience with MS SQL Server and HTML coding.
