Product Engineer - Reliability

We are currently looking to hire an engineer for our Product Engineer Reliability team. The PE Reliability engineer is responsible for qualifying Micron NAND Flash products per industry standards. This activity includes evaluating product reliability with respect to various customer usage models e.g. SSD/eMMC/automotive. Part of the work involves debugging issues found during qualification and segmenting whether they are fabrication process/trim/test coverage issues. The PE REL engineer will work with other engineering teams in resolving qualification issues and driving corrective actions. Upon qualifying materials, he/she might also assist customer and field application teams on related queries and questions regarding Micron NAND products.

There is a high amount of interaction and collaboration with other teams, so being a team player with the ability to lead small technical teams, is a necessity.

 

Responsibilities:

* Coordinate with research and development teams

* Comprehend new NAND Flash processes/technologies for product reliability issues

* Develop product reliability tests to assess new NAND Flash failure mechanisms

* Facilitate product qualification and evaluate product quality and reliability with respect to customer usage requirements

* Comprehend qualification failures and perform risk assessment at all decision points within qualification cycle.

* Provide Technical Training and Expertise

Qualifications:

* Solid background or ability to learn semiconductor processing, device physics, semiconductor reliability and device characterization

* Solid knowledge or ability to learn NAND Flash structure and operation, typical product failure modes and reliability mechanisms

* Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills

* Ability to work with people from diverse technical backgrounds

* Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office, PERL scripting, statistical analysis software (JMP)

* Knowledge or experience with Tableau is a plus

Education:

* Position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (and preferably a Master’s degree) in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Course work or work experience in device physics, semiconductor process, and statistics is required
