R&D NAND Cell Device Engineer

As an R&D NAND Memory Cell Device Engineer in the Process and Device Technology Development group at Micron Technology Inc., you will be responsible for developing next generation innovative NAND cell technologies to assure the cell achieves the required performance within project timelines. 

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Develop an understanding of process and device requirements for new NAND cell and help refine requirements, as necessary.
  • Owns and drives the process roadmap for demonstrating intrinsic cell capability needed for product qualification.
  • Designing and executing process experiments to improve cell performance and reliability.
  • Probe, Param and WLR data analysis towards defining process roadmap for cell performance and/or reliability improvement.
  • Defining Cell ESPEC for a given tech node to PI/process teams for mapping it to CSPEC for process development/line control.
  • Perform bench measurements for fundamental mechanism understanding, problem-solving and device research.
  • Perform Cell TEM structure to electrical finger-printing.
  • Developing, communicating, and coordinating the execution of cell improvement strategy with partners in TD, Prod. Engineering and Manufacturing
  • Driving cross-functional teams to address cell deficiencies and technology gaps.
  • Updating the team and management as to the status of the projects.
  • Supporting the transfer, documentation and training of the cell fundamentals into manufacturing.

 

 

Successful candidates for this position will have,

 

  • The knowledge of and experience with nonvolatile memories.
  • Experience in probe, param, WLR analysis.
  • Experience and knowledge in performing bench electrical measurements and characterization.
  • A strong understanding of statistics.
  • A strong understanding of semiconductor devices and processes.
  • Experience in using Unix interface for extracting data, running scripts, etc.
  • Solid communication and reporting abilities.
  • The ability to be highly skilled at driving for results.  

 

 

Education:    

      

  • PhD or MS/BS in electrical engineering with ~5 years of experience is required.
