Mobile Architecture Engineer

As a Mobile Architecture Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be a member of the Mobile Main Memory Architecture Development team.  This team identifies and defines new market opportunities and innovative product concepts.  It evangelizes Micron’s new mobile products, technologies, and capabilities, and identifies key market trends and the competitive landscape.  The team is responsible for maintaining strong technical relationships with customers and partnering with key technologists to identify and define new innovative memory products.  As part of this team you will help Micron stay abreast of new advancements in technology and architecture trends in the market.  You will also work with Micron technologists, design engineers, and other engineering teams to ensure successful implementation and feasibility demonstration of new product concepts.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks include, but not limited to:

 

Develop high-performance, customer-centered mobile memory architectures

 

  • Analyze customer and market needs to identify competitive solutions
  • Create proposals and specifications
  • Investigate feasibility of proposed solutions
  • Coordinate internal discussions to refine proposed solutions
  • When appropriate, disclose new IP for patent consideration
  • Support and assist successful design-in of new technology

 

Customer support, internal and external

 

  • Create and provide content for Quarterly Technical Reviews (QTRs)
  • Assist in preparation of material for other customer technical meetings
  • Maintain coordination with MBU marketing
  • Coordinate with other technologists at Micron

  • Regularly exchanges technical information with colleagues and managers.

 

Education

A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and 3+ years of DRAM experience preferred and Mobile system design experience is a plus.
