Manager - R&D DRAM Process Integration

As a Process Integration Manager in Micron’s R&D DRAM Process Integration group, your primary responsibility will be to drive technology solutions contributing to the DRAM R&D activities and process and tool alignment between Boise and Japan R&D sites.  You will be driving multiple projects and teams to innovate and solve complex problems for next generation DRAM technologies and execute and coordinate effective actions to enable the projects to hit key milestones and timelines. 

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Team coordination
    • Lead the work of a team of experienced engineers from process development and manufacturing development to set-up process flows for a new DRAM generation from early development until manufacturing introduction.
    • Lead projects during the entire process integration to align process recipes and tools between Japan R&D and Boise R&D capacitor flow.
    • Drive cross-functional task force and focus teams to diagnose root cause and implement short and long-term solutions to complex problems.
  • Project responsibilities
    • Develop, maintain and improve a process module on an advanced DRAM including defining Design Rules for alternative flows.
    • Optimize existing process flows and develop creative solutions to meet product requirements and gain technology leadership position in DRAM industry.
    • Extract, monitor, analyze, and react to inline data, param data and probe data to fix yield issues, add process margin and reduce costs.
    • Work with Design, Yield Analysis, Product Engineering, Defect Analysis, Parametric, and Quality teams to understand issues and priorities for the line development.
    • Summarize complex problems, deriving and explaining actions taken to address them.
    • Support the DRAM roadmap process by working with Design, Product Engineering, Modeling, and Device Characterization groups to provide innovative solutions for DRAM pathfinding projects.
    • Drive effective cross-functional communications on issue resolution.
    • Define sub-milestones for projects and work to achieve the targets and timelines with the team.
    • Maintain and enforce best possible communication between PI, Process development and Manufacturing development.
    • Assure timely documentation of the R&D activities for transfer to Manufacturing.    

 Qualifications/Experience

15+ years’ experience in DRAM Process Development, preferably process integration, with strong electrical background

 

Education:

MS or PhD in or Electrical or Chemical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, or Material Science (PhD preferred)
