Manager - Inbound Supply Management

As the Manager of Inbound Supply Management (ISM) you will lead the teams located at the Boise manufacturing locations to ensure the Ordering and On Time Delivery of Spares and Materials required at these locations. This includes expediting and escalation of delivery issues as required to ensure continuity of manufacturing operations.


In this role you will work with the Global and/or Regional Manager to drive for Ordering and Expedite Process Alignment across all sites. You will support the development of improvement strategy within the department by participating in assessment of current and future needs, analysis of market and company trends, and identify opportunities to leverage changes in processes, systems and product/services.
Other responsibilities include ensuring site’s compliance to company policies and departmental procedures. You will also be responsible to follow corporate business initiatives, align your individual goals to business objectives, and drive towards high performance within your team and the department.

You will provide leadership at sites for building and implementing department strategies, processes, and policy through active oversight of your functional teams and projects, and mentor team members through collaboration and the development of sustainably successful solutions. You will also be responsible for conveying corporate business initiatives, aligning team and individual goals to business objectives, and driving overall high performance within your team and the department.         


Role Responsibilities & Tasks

​Supply Fulfillment Execution

·       Manage Delivery Scheduling and Order Release

·       Ensure sufficient materials to support site build plans; schedule correct quantity of material from a vendor for arrival at specified site and date

·       Support pull-in requests that has impact to wafer loading or SOS output, and expedite deliveries

·       Update orders to support site pull-ins, build adds/expedites, or push-outs as required by site build schedule

·       Block materials due to quality issues; release or reorder based upon MRB


Execute Improvement Plan

·       Participate in implementation of improvement strategies and be proactive in recommending solutions to constraints or issues


Interface with Stakeholders, Procurement Partners, and Suppliers on Regional Supply Fulfillment Strategies

·       Ensure stakeholder requirements are met

·       Sustain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders


​Collaborate with Stakeholders to Deliver Strategic Solutions

·       Develop and maintain expertise in regional Supply Fulfillment through relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and industry trends

·       Assist Global and/or Regional Manager to implement processes to monitor stakeholder satisfaction

·       Develop expertise in driving customer-centric approach to solving issues and representing the department


Manage Team Member/Group Performance      

·       Develop a high performing team at sites

·       Establish job responsibilities and performance and development goals for direct reports      

·       Collect, review, and provide verbal and written performance feedback to continuously develop your team    

·       Monitor and oversee individual and team performance  

·       Coach, mentor and develop current and future Micron leaders        

·       Provide consultation to ensure conflict resolution   

·       Establish strategies to provide and support recognition  



·       Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in:

·       Business

·       Business Administration/Management

·       Engineering

·       Supply Chain Management

·       Related field of study

·       Preferred Certification : APICS, PMI, CPM, CPSM, or other related fields of study
