Intern - Photolithography Process Development Engineer

This position is for a 3 to 6 month internship in the Photolithography Technology Development group in Boise.  In this role, you will work on projects relevant to current and future semiconductor manufacturing needs.  You will work with engineers in photolithography, metrology, and other process areas.  Projects may include line width roughness (LWR) improvements, 193 immersion and EUV lithography, multiple patterning, or other next generation lithography needs.

 

 Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Complete two or three projects and report on results.
  • Plan and run experiments in a semiconductor cleanroom using cutting edge technology.
  • Analyze top-down and cross-sectional SEM data using Excel and JMP.

 

Qualifications:

  • Coursework or experience in photolithography and semiconductor manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, and to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work well in groups.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
  • Coursework or experience in statistics and data analysis preferred.

 

Education:

  • Undergraduate applicants should have at least 2 years towards a B. S. degree in engineering.
  • Graduate student applicants should be working towards an M. S. or Ph. D. in a semiconductor-related field.
  • Must be continuing education in Fall of 2018 (Expected graduation date must not be before September 1st 2018)
