Intern-Electrical Failure Analysis

Micron research and development has an opening for an Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) Engineering Intern to support emerging memory products. As an EFA engineer you will work with PI/Process/Probe/Product and Parametric Engineers to develop and characterize emerging memory technology.

 

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Analyze probe, parametric and fab data to identify yield issues
  • Publish and present reports on analysis of process experiments detailing yield impact
  • Apply knowledge of Si fabrication steps to identify and trouble shoot yield issues
  • Identify interactions between process modules and/or equipment to detect fail mechanisms

    Monitoring end of line performance to identify unexpected shift

  • Recognize opportunities for yield improvements and provide feedback to R&D management

 

Successful candidates for this position will have:

  • Good understanding of semiconductor processing
  • Understanding of CMOS operation and device physics
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Exposure to statistical process control, Design of Experiment and pearl/C++/C# programming

 

 Education:

Must be pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Microelectronics, or related discipline
