Inside Sales Representative

This role is a key position to our sales organization.  The ISR will directly engage our NSP, SI and Distribution accounts providing a variety of sales and support activities.  This role requires daily interaction with specified account to negotiate pricing, provide product recommendations and generally represent Micron to the account.  Occasionally the ISR will travel to their accounts to help with business reviews. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage Rep firms at respective accounts, including directing activities and creating strategic messaging.
  • Prospect end customer leads and facilitate new sales through the channel.
  • Understand complex enterprise storage environments and can recommend appropriate SSD’s for specific applications
  • Help customer select appropriate products for their requirements.
  • Understands the different workload requirements for specific applications to make storage recommendations.
  • Travel to customers for QBR meetings and select customer engagements.
  • Be an expert on DRAM market pricing and understand when to escalate for better pricing.
  • Respond to and follow up on bid requests.
  • Work with operations to solve any escalated issues.
  • Develop relationships with the NSP reps.
  • Engage sales reps that are not selling Micron.
  • Work internally to solve any issues on your accounts including any credit, finance, marketing or operational issues.
  • Provide pricing to your accounts on a regular basis.
  • When deals need special pricing, engage product marketing and pricing teams to win the deal.
  • Monitor customer reports and track down any reporting needed for Micron programs.
  • Maintain relationships with purchasing department to facilitate correct SKU basket and channel inventory level.

     

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where you will cover multiple sales accounts.
  • Self-starter who can manage their own workload but be part of a team.
  • Willingness to engage people they don’t know over the phone or in person to drive relationships.
  • Have a sense of urgency around taking care of the customer to resolve any issue.
  • Experience performing at a high level in a dynamic work environment
  • Willing to “own their business” and drive towards a quarterly sales quota.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience in Sales
  • Strong background in technology
  • Good ability with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Preferred experience with Salesforce, Model N, Quickbase
