IC Package Design Technician

As a Package Design Technician, your primary responsibility includes compiling product design and process information for new product introduction. This will require gathering design, process, and material information to create an initial specification. You will then enter the specification data into the PDSS (Product Design Specification Sheet) used by the BECE (Backend Central Engineering) and manufacturing teams. In this role, you will work with engineering teams in multiple organizations to support product documentation needs. You will establish and monitor approval and notification routing of documentation and enable appropriate user access, providing customer follow up where necessary.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Gather and check APTD (Advanced Package Technology Development) documentation for correctness which includes technical risk assessment, package and material stack up, vendor design approval form, substrate and package drawings, bond diagram, process BKMs, and other items that are critical to function/quality.
  • Search and validate data correctness using the following systems: ARD (Assembly Reference Database, ADR (Assembly Design Request), Package Design Tracker, design rule database, ASM – NPI database, materials database, PDSS.
  • Enter product specification data into PDSS
  • Ensure document integrity, uniqueness, and compliance with internal and external procedures

             

Education

            AAS in Information and Documentation or related field or 2 years’ equivalent work experience. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Required

•     Proficient in using Excel, Word, SharePoint.

  • Proficient in accurate and efficient data entry.

•     Good communication and interpersonal skills with a strong interest in working in a dynamic and highly automated environment

•     Ability to work independently

•     Highly motivated and outcome oriented

 

Desired

Semiconductor manufacturing experience

Drafting or circuit board layout experience
