As a Hub Operations Specialist at Micron, you will be part of a centralized team that serves as a primary operational resource to the internal stakeholders, external customers and business partners to negotiate and coordinate the set-up and support of customer specific consignment inventory stockpiles according to Micron’s best practices and established guidelines. The Hub Operations Specialist will also work to support existing consignment inventory stockpiles and aid in determining the optimum inventory replenishment levels. You will be part of an organization providing superior customer service.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks (include but are not limited to):

 

New Hub Setups

  • Gather and understand the set-up requirements of internal stakeholders and/or Customers
  • Coordinate discussions with inter-company stakeholders to draft a customer proposal
  • Coordinate discussions to address issues or questions that arise as the original proposal is revised following the negotiations.
  • Act as the direct liaison between customers, hub providers, and a multitude of internal stakeholders.
  • Negotiate with the customers, stakeholders, and business partners to coordinate the execution of the best setup for Micron, balancing operational efficiency with customer service.
  • Upon negotiation completion, manage set-up activities.

 

Regional Active Hub Support

  • Troubleshooting systematic and/or logistical issues associated with the active consignment stockpile.
  • Coordinate hub specific contract amendments with legal, external business partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in system related testing for set-up and/or support of new or existing hubs and hub related systems.
  • Act as the resource and area expert for fellow team-members and inter-company stakeholders.
  • Analyze metrics to initiate and coordinate the closure of under-performing hubs and recommend improvement opportunities.
  • Work with Regional Sales Operations to coordinate account changes
  • Take ownership of coordinating internal and external hub specific audits and serve as the main contact. 

 

Inventory Management

  • Executing and maintaining Sarbanes Oxley controls specific to consignment and/or consignment inventory.
  • Work with Regional Sales Operations to track and validate hub reconciliations.
  • Generate and publish reports for aged inventory; proactively follow up with the Regional Sales Operations team and/or field sales to increase inventory turns.
  • Monitor to ensure timely and consistent creation and delivery of hub pulls.
  • Act as an advisor on hub inventory decisions.

 

Process Improvements

  • Identify gaps in existing polices and processes and drive for improvements.
  • Coordinate agreed upon process improvements.
  • Facilitate change management activities for critical process changes
  • Aid in keeping existing process documentation up to date and developing documentation for new processes. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • SAP knowledge is desirable but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing or Project Management
