Job Description

As a Finance Strategy Project Manager at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for managing activities related to: long range forecasts, corporate strategy support, mergers and acquisitions, market research, and competitive benchmarking. This will require you to define, develop, document, and implement core product management processes while ensuring data integrity. You will also manage internal / external customer and stakeholder relationships. You will provide forecast consultation, facilitate meetings, and collaborate to obtain relevant information. In this role, you will also design and develop complex models that are easily maintained and incorporate ongoing data integrity checks. You will also facilitate global presentations for senior management and coordinate resulting action items and follow up. In this role, you will manage ad hoc analysis requests by determining customer requirements, coordinating resources, reporting status, and delivering results. Managing and developing project teams and providing feedback to team member manager regarding performance will also be among your responsibilities.
 

Responsibilities and Tasks

Maintain Long-term Forecasts (3+ years)

Integrate business plan with long-term plan

Gain consensus on long-term plan from internal stakeholders and create sensitivity analysis

Prepare and deliver financial models to executive team, investment bankers and credit rating agencies

Support corporate strategic analysis delivering financial and strategic analysis on existing and new business opportunities

Support internal stakeholders (manufacturing, R&D, business units, etc.) on ad hoc strategic analysis

Develop and support analysis of Micron’s competitive current and projected competitive position

Support Merger and Acquisition Analysis and Strategy

Support and facilitate deal process across all functions of the business

Active involvement in due diligence process

Update and maintain financial models

Support valuation work through DCF analysis, market multiples, comparative transactions

Work with external bankers 

Prepare and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders and executive team

Prepare board level material

 

Manage relationships with internal / external customers, drive and develop project teams               

Support alignment of internal customer groups by driving working teams from formation to completion of projects

Collaborate with key stakeholders internal and external to ensure project success

Prioritize internal and external customer requests

Ensure data integrity

Define, develop, document and implement core product management processes

Design and develop complex models to meet dynamic business needs

Distill complex analysis to create concise actionable summaries

Present key finding of analysis to senior management

Provide feedback and recognition to team member manager for Performance Management

Individual Requirements

5+ years of experience in any of the following:

Accounting/Finance

Business

Experience in the semiconductor industry is preferred

Highly proficient with Excel and PowerPoint

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Capable of working under tight deadlines

Ability to work independently and cross-functionally

Education:

BA/BS or equivalent in business, finance, accounting, economics or related field of study; MBA preferred
