EHS Intern Job Description

As an Environmental, Health, and Safety Intern at Micron, you will gain exposure to the development and implementation elements of our overall safety and/or environmental management systems. As an EHS intern at Micron, you will participate in a variety of EHS-related activities evaluation of trends, root cause analysis, the development/implementation of basic safety/ergonomics/EHS/environmental programs, safety committee meetings, compliance activities, and corporate responsibility activities. The EHS intern will be responsible to complete assigned activities, collaborate with corporate and site EHS team members as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited program in engineering, ergonomics/ human factors, occupational safety, environmental sciences, fire safety, or safety related degrees.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office– Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Must have access to reliable transportation

  • Routinely communicating with department staff and informing them of any difficulties in completing work
  • Presentation to senior level staff at the conclusion of the internship
  • Working hours as agreed and giving advance notice of any necessary schedule changes
  • Dress is casual but appropriate for an office environment
  • Attending meetings as necessary
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team environment
