Job Description:

  • As a parametric test & device characterization engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will support DRAM technology development by authoring characterization methods & analyzing semiconductor device data. This includes typical CMOS and interconnect, as well as, in-depth memory cell characterization.  In this role, you will work closely with engineering teams from process integration, process development, design, product, and quality & reliability.


  • Successful candidates must have:
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Independent project and workload management skills
  • Strong background in solid state physics, semiconductor processing and device characterization
  • Strong understanding of device operation in memory systems such as DRAM, NAND, storage class, and cross-point memories
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience in automating data analysis methods
    • Experience in the operation and automation of semiconductor instrumentation including, but not limited to:
      • Parameter analyzers, SPA, SMU
      • LCR meters
      • Network analyzers
      • Oscilloscopes
      • Pulse & waveform generators
      • Wafer probers
      • ATE and bench systems
  • Knowledgeable in a variety of software tools and operating systems, including but not limited to: 
    • Python/Pandas/PyQt
    • C/C++
    • Unix/Linux
    • Perl
    • SQL
    • JMP/JSL
    • Some database knowledge: Hadoop/Spark/Teradata



MS/PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering


BS in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 3 years post graduate experience
