ENGINEER - SIG SYSTEM DESIGN

Position Description:

 

As an electrical engineer for the Systems Integration Group (SIG) in Boise, ID, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing digital and analog circuits used in the development of semiconductor test equipment.  In this position, you will be responsible for the hardware development, documentation, and testing for the manufacturing and support of SIG’s equipment projects. 

 

Responsibilities and Tasks:

 

Skills:

 

  • Applies learned technical design concepts and follows detailed instructions.
  • Solves straightforward design problems and seeks guidance as needed.
  • Ability to design related to specific assignments within Electrical Engineering.
  • Integrates knowledge of basic concepts, principles and theories of Electrical Engineering.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Participate in new circuit conception and design as needed.
  • Assist in design and development of schematics.
  • Analyze component specifications for design use
  • Debug of electronics in an ESD safe lab environment.
  • Write and understand test software as it relates to electronic debug.
  • Write technical documents and lab reports.
  • Document circuit and system designs.
  • Present design work for peer review.
  • Work in a team to accomplish a goal.

 

Design work may include:

 

  • Hierarchical and flat system level design.
  • Design, simulation, and implementation of FPGA designs.
  • Microcontroller and processors circuits.
  • Power supplies.
  • Power distribution on a circuit board.
  • Signal integrity analysis.
  • Test and measurement circuits.

 

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
