DDQA Circuit Reliability Engineer

As a Global Quality (GQ) Development and Design Quality Assurance (DDQA) Circuit Reliability Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for developing product tests to characterize circuit degradation and identifying performance degradation mechanisms. You will analyze various circuits, generate test modes, and detect nodes for vulnerable reliability mechanisms. In this role you will work with GQ, Design Engineering, Product Engineering, and R and D to understand circuit degradation tolerance for critical parameters and ensure that specifications are within design limits. You will also coordinate with various Engineering groups to determine and model circuit lifetimes and predict ways to prevent or minimize circuit degradation and its effects

Responsibilities and Tasks

 

   

Develop Product Reliability Tests

 

  • Analyze various circuits for a given product

 

  • Characterize worse case conditions and critical limits

 

  • Generate test modes to target specific circuits

 

   

Characterize Circuit Degradation

 

  • Collect and analyze data

 

  • Compare to circuit simulations

 

  • Model degradation

 

  • Estimate circuit lifetimes for each mechanism

 

  • Compare to volume data

 

   

Develop Simulation Tools to Identify Potential Degradation Concerns

 

  • Be familiar with circuit simulation tools

 

  • Understand circuit layout and functionality

 

  • Detect nodes for vulnerable reliability mechanisms

 

   

Assist with Developing Specs for Circuit Reliability Parameters

 

  • Work with Design Engineering, Product Engineering, and R&D

 

  • Understand circuit degradation tolerance for critical parameters

 

  • Ensure specs are within design limits

 

   

Determine Circuit Lifetimes

 

  • Coordinate with QRA, Design Engineering, Product Engineering, and R&D

 

  • Identify circuits with highest probability for reliability risks

 

  • Categorize circuits for specific reliability failure mechanisms
 
  • Collaborate with Wafer Level Reliability (WLR) teams to model circuit lifetimes

 

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience:

Negotiation skills to resolve difficult or complicated situations that are often sensitive in nature.

Knowledge in coding and supporting applications written with C++, Peal, and Python

Familiarity with Fault Tree Analysis/FMEA’s (Design, Application, and Process)

Ability to communicate effectively in multi-discipline, cross cultural environment and levels of organization

5 years of statistical analysis experience in a quality department for a manufacturer of electrical or mechanical products
