Job Description
An Area Industrial Engineers is part of the Industrial Engineering (IE) Planning Team and is responsible for analyzing and optimizing fab performance through technology node life-cycles, capacity planning, cycle time planning, capital planning, and business plan coordination. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Completes all required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with Micron and Technology Development (TD) safety policies
  • Follows all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
  • Reports all safety-related concerns or problems immediately to the appropriate individual (Emergency Response Team, Supervision, etc.)
  • Performs audits and submits good catches on safety issues
  • Partners with key stakeholders to develop applications to continuously improve production metrics and modeling
  • Partners with TD stakeholders to plan for future product introduction
  • Coordinates justification and planning for capital purchases and capacity changes with impacted teams
  • Coordinates tool installation with Facilities personnel and TD process engineers
  • Partners closely with the Process Development Engineering (PDE), Manufacturing Development Engineering (MDE) and Operations Development Engineering (ODE) stakeholders to keep updated on area issues, priorities, and projects
Project Management/Planning
  • Designs and coordinates projects with several different departments
Technical/Data Analysis
  • Maintains accurate capacity planning models
  • Applies IE concepts to line management, capacity analysis, scheduling, and production planning
  • Uses statistical analysis to maintain and audit manufacturing capacity information
  • Evaluates scenarios representing changes in Model Of Record (MOR)/Tool Of Record (TOR), performing what-if scenarios and partners with engineering and operations to understand the impact of the changes
  • Excellent multi-tasking, time-management, organization and prioritization skills

Bachelors Degree
  • , Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations Management (POM), equivalent degree, or relevant experience
  • Engineering - Industrial
